24 Volt VSR Vehicle Isolator 100Amp

Details and features:

  • Voltage Sensitive Relays (VSRs) allow two batteries to be charged simultaneously.

  • When the engine starts and the starter battery reaches 26.6 volts, the VSR engages, allowing both battery packs (starting and secondary) to charge at the same time.

  • When the voltage drops below 25.6 volts (e.g. when the motor stops), the VSR disengages and the battery is separated.

  • The system eliminates the possibility of depleting the starter battery and protects sensitive electronics powered by secondary batteries from harmful engine starting spikes.

  • The advantages of mounting a VSR over conventional loads (diode isolators), easy 3-wire connection to the battery, no need to bypass existing alternator wiring, VSR has no voltage drop, and conventional diode insulators have a minimum voltage drop of 0.6 volts.
